LICENSED GUIDE-ARCHAEOLOGIST Welcome to Grece! Welcome home! "Philos"-friend- is a very old greek universal word. The Odyssey is a story of travelling, Odysseus: " had seen the cities of a lot of people and their way of thinking he has understood". I love traveling, I am doing this job not only because I want to show you my country but also because I want to hear about yours. I am a licensed tourist guide and archaeologist who will give you correct historical information with the insight of a local. I have worked in several parts of Greece - Santorini was my favourite - and now I am in Athens, my hometown. Athens is not just the Acropolis, it is a dynamic city with strong personality and many things to talk about We can arrange a variety of tours here or go on one / two days trips to Delphi, ancient Olympia, Mycene e. t. c. . I look forward to meeting you and showing you my country. I promise you an authentic and most enjoyable tour!! Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism: Licence of Tourist Guide. Every traveller who comes to Athens will definitely go to Acropolis! I will never forget my first visit here as an archaeology student when we were allowed to enter the Parthenon! Follow me to a trip 2500 years back! The art of living, the art of philosophy and the art of politics in the Athenian "golden age" has always been an inspiration and a challenge for me. Furthermore, the Athenian Agora is one of my favourite sites! A beautiful park, so near the Acropolis but never crowded, with the figure of the best preserved greek temple and the remains of political buildings. Finally, come with me inside Attalos stoa, an ancient shopping house!
- Our first stop is the ancient theatre of Dionysos. - We will continue to the Nike temple for a panoramic view. - After a short stop at the steps of Propylaea we walk to the Parthenon and Erechteion. Search for Athena's olive tree and Poseidon's well. - Passing by Mars hill and the Pnyx we enter the Agora. Focus to the most important buildings and Hephaistos temple. - The museum of Attalos stoa is a perfectly restored ancient portico. Ballots, sherds from ostracism and the unique allotment machine are a must-see - Outside the archaeological site there is a bunch of small cafes, tavernas and bazaar shops.
