Today, I am an officially licensed Tourist Guide certified by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism and a graduate in History. This was our second time using Christina, first time was just my wife and I this time we had a multigenerational group with my parents and younger children. Our first experience was amazing and she recommended book series that turned our 10 year old American son into a lover of Greek mythology. This excursion was the highlight of his 18 day European vacation. We were only in Athens one day this trip on a Disney cruise. Highly recommend Christina as a guide, our favorite we have used on our travels throughout the world. Her knowledge and ability to navigate the busy Athens tourist sites is unmatched. Your Athens tour itinerary
1. Our day will start in the early morning with the visit of the Acropolis. I will pick you up at from your hotel or the port in order to start our day! 2. We will visit the archaeological site as well as the New Acropolis Museum. [3 hours] 3. We will drive around the city of Athens and see the most important monuments, including the Parliament house, the memorial of the unknown soldier, the University of Athens and the Academy of Arts and Sciences as well as the National Library. If you want we can stop and visit the ancient temple of Zeus, the arch of Hadrian as well as the stadium where the first modern Olympic games took place in 1896. [1 hour] 4. We will choose a Greek 'taverna ' downtown for a typical Greek lunch. [1hour] 5. Return to your hotel [30'] ***Customize - I can customise the tour if you have any special request
