Athens Half Day Private Shore Excursion

Dimitrios is a treasure. From the day we booked through the tour he was all about us and maximizing our experience in one of the cleanest capitals of Europe!

We were on a cruise from Venice to Athens and we had many wonderful guides on the journey. I would say that Dimitrios was the best of a very expert bunch. He was A+ on everything from his clear communication to his warm personality to his fantastic knowledge of Athens. One of the people in our party had back issues, and I just cannot describe the lengths that Dimitrios went to, to help my friend see everything. He was flexible, and he got all of our tickets for us in advance. I recommend him with great enthusiasm if you are lucky enough to find him available!

We had a wonderful tour of Athens with Dimitrios. He was extremely knowledgeable, and shared the information in a way that even my teenagers found interesting! He also brought us to a very nice lunch spot, and provided plenty of recommendations for our stay. The communication before/during the tour was excellent, and I would highly recommend Dimitrios. We booked this tour last minute. We had never booked a tour with tours by Locals before and our friends highly recommended it. It didn’t disappoint at all. We were lucky to get this half-day tour with Dimitrios and he was incredible. He picked us up early at the cruise port and took us on a half-day tour, including the acropolis, changing of the guard at the government building and touring multiple past and current sites, including the site of the first modern Olympics. After our tour was over, he dropped us at our hotel with our luggage. I would recommend this tour with Dimitrios to anyone. He had an excellent slide presentation while we were driving around that had insights with pictures of what he was discussing. Dimitrios was very professional, experienced, easy to understand and very knowledgeable. For lunch, he took us to a local site that we never would’ve found on our own and it was excellent. I recommend this tour highly without reservation.
