Overview of your Athens tour
In this tour we explore major sites in down town Athens. It starts at Syntagma square or your hotel if it is centrally located near the Acropolis area and includes a walk through the National gardens, a photo stop at the Panathenean stadium, a walk next to the temple of Zeus and Hadrians Arch, a visit to the Acropolis where we will admire the Parthenon and Plaka ,the oldest and most charming neighbourhood in Athens.

This walking tour was such a great way to see the best of Athens in a short amount of time! We covered all the key highlights, including the Acropolis, the peaceful National Garden, the Changing of the Guard, and the Panathenaic Stadium (the original Olympic stadium). It was such a fantastic mix of history and culture packed into one tour. Our guide was on time, super friendly, and clearly knew so much about the city's history. She shared great stories and context along the way, but she also gave us plenty of time to explore, take photos, and ask questions. It never felt rushed, which we really appreciated. The Acropolis was, of course, a highlight. Seeing the Parthenon up close after learning about it for so long was honestly a bit surreal. The Changing of the Guard ended up being an unexpected favorite too. Walking through the National Garden was a nice change of pace as well, a peaceful little escape from the busier streets of the city. Overall, this tour gave us such a well-rounded first look at Athens. If you're short on time but want to see the highlights and actually learn something along the way, I'd highly recommend it!
