Full Day Panoramic Tour of Athens with a Local Historian

Panos was a fantastic guide for our day in Athens at the Acropolis . His knowledge of history and archeology is outstanding. We experienced a wonderful day with a really great guide.

We had an amazing tour with Panos as cruise ship passengers on July 7, 2026. We had 4 adults and 4 teenagers and are from the USA. Panos organized private transportation from the port to Athens and met us in the city center. He moves swiftly from place to place (which was perfect for our group) but also made sure to accommodate any rest time or stops we requested. He is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtfully rearranges the agenda as the day goes on to attempt to avoid crowds as much as possible. He talked to us about our lunch preferences and made a call to a restaurant where they held a table for us in air conditioning, to have an authentic Greek lunch. Without any reservation, I would recommend Panos as a guide for Athens.

I would highly recommend Panos for anyone interested in visiting Athens and learning more about Ancient Greece. Panos was energetic, friendly and the depth and breadth of his knowledge was amazing. He was able to not only give insight into all things Ancient Greece but also any other Athens related questions we had, altering the tour on the spot to fit our interests. As a history buff, and with a wife with less exposure to the subject, I thought Panos was wonderful in threading the needle of giving enough but not too much information. When I come back, Panos will be the first call.

Panos is an incredible guide! If you’re looking for a tour guide in Athens, I highly recommend him. He’s deeply knowledgeable in history and archaeology, and we learned so much about Greece, the Acropolis, the Panathenaic Stadium, and more during our full-day tour. It was a great experience!
