Hello, and welcome to Athens. My name is Panos and I'll be your local guide in this beautiful city that I call home. As a local, living in central Athens and a licensed tourist guide, I'm always excited about introducing guests to the city's rich history. My aim is to introduce visitors, not only to the city's sites and monuments, but also to its unique culture, architecture and modern life. What I consider essential, is breathing life into monuments and adding historical and cultural context to the sites we visit. My working experience as a guide has taught me how to be flexible and how to adjust the tours to the individuals' and groups' special needs and interests. Guiding guests to the city's sites has also turned out to be a great opportunity to interact with people from all over the world, people with different backgrounds, ideas and experiences. My academic background is in History, Archaeology and Political Science. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History, a Master's Degree in International and European Relations, and a second Master's Degree in the Archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean. I am still engaged in Academia, conducting research on Human Migration in the University of Athens. I have a passion for learning foreign languages: I'm fluent in English, German and French, and I'm currently learning Russian and Spanish. I have always believed that the beauty of life lies in our ability to broaden our horizons, with books, courses, art, travelling and new experiences. Let me share with you my enthusiasm about the city's millennia-old history and its amazing vibes. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Licensed Tourist Guide (Greek Ministry of Tourism) Bachelor's Degree in History (Ionian University) Master's Degree in International & European Relations (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens). Master's Degree in Archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean, from Prehistory to Late Antiquity (University of the Aegean). Certificate of Proficiency in English (University of Cambridge, UK) Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française DALF C2 (Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale, FR) Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, München, DE). I am only delivering walking tours, since I am not a driver guide, nor a professional driver.
