Athens Highlights Full Day Walking Tour

Our tour of the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum was highly enjoyable and educational. We walked up the easier less crowded entrance to the Acropolis while Nota explained the history of what is there. The Acropolis is crowded – Nota knows strategies to minimize the problem (it can’t be entirely eliminated). We walked to the Acropolis museum where many of the more valuable items are located. It also is crowded, but again it helps to have a guide who gets us in faster and highlights the more important information. We did not feel rushed but did enjoy minimizing effects of the crowds. And of course one of the high points was Nota’s suggestion of an excellent simple restaurant for our lunch.

Nota was great! She communicated with us before our tour, helping us to acquire the needed tickets, etc before our tour of the Highlights of Athens. She is also very knowledgeable in regards to the stores and the history that make Athens and Greece come to life. We enjoyed our tour very much!

We had a fun tour with Nota touring the Acropolis and surrounding areas. Nota was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the different temples. We walked to the top of the acropolis hill and then down through the park to the Assembly of Citizens and the Agora. Then Nota took us through the old town and marketplace and we finished at the new museum where Nota gave us a tour of the archaeological objects. Nota was a great tour guide! She was prompt, well-organized, spoke fluent English, and we enjoyed her company very much!

Nota was an excellent guide. Nota was able to communicate her detailed knowledge of Athens and Greek history in a way that made the tour very interesting. The pace of the tour was just right. Nota also provided great suggestions as to what else we might like to do while we were in Athens. My only regret was that I didn’t book Nota for another tour while we were in Athens

Nota is a knowledgeable guide who is skilled in adjusting the content and tempo of her tour to the needs and interests of her group. Her tour was an ideal introduction for us to ancient Athens, ranging from the Mycenaean period through to the Peloponnesian War.
