Explore Corfu your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Corfu tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Corfu for every interest, including:

Layover tours: Your guide meets you at Corfu International Airport or the New Port, then you walk the Liston arcade, step into St. Spyridon Church, and climb the Old Fortress for quick harbour views before a short stop to try your favourite kumquat sweet at a family shop. You’ll be driven back in time for your flight or sailing, with your route planned around your schedule.

Nature and Wildlife tours: Hike a quiet stretch of the Corfu Trail to Lake Korission to watch herons and, in season, flamingoes, then follow the sand dunes of Chalikounas Beach for a swim. Or choose a private sea‑kayak tour in Paleokastritsa to paddle into small coves and snorkel over seagrass meadows with wrasse and damselfish; many tours also add a visit to Corfu Donkey Rescue near Doukades.

In the Old Town, you can cover most stops on foot, with blue buses serving the centre and Green Buses linking major villages and beaches. For nature spots, trailheads, and remote bays, service can be limited, so you can book chauffeured tours or tours with private transportation, or ask your local guide to arrange a car or van.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Corfu inside and out.

Day trip ideas from Corfu

Use Corfu as your base and branch out to nearby islands, cliffside viewpoints, and hill towns on easy day trips that match what you like to do, from swimming and short hikes to relaxed food stops; many routes also work well as private tours if you want a plan that stays flexible.

Paxos and Antipaxos: Sail across clear water to small harbours, sea caves, and quiet beaches, with time to swim and find a simple taverna lunch; good if you like island scenery and want a slower pace than Corfu Town.

Paleokastritsa and the west coast: Coves with bright water, short boat rides to caves, and high viewpoints make this coast a strong pick for photos and snorkelling; easy to mix beach time with short walks.

Old Perithia and Mount Pantokrator: Stone lanes, village squares, and ridge views offer a different side of Corfu, with gentle hikes and local food; ideal if you enjoy history, nature, and cooler mountain air.

Sidari, Canal d’Amour, and Cape Drastis: Layered rock formations, coastal paths, and sunset spots give you a full day of scenery with simple swims along the way; good for casual walkers and photographers.

A private tour with a local guide is the best way to really get to know a place. Skip the crowds, follow your interests, and see a side of Corfu most travellers miss.
