I was born in central Greece in 1972. I live in Athens since 1993 and I have been a licensed professional taxi driver ever since. I have been an exclusive taxi driver up to 1998 when I started cooperating with Athenian Travel Agencies, working under strict schedules and deadlines. In the Olympic Games of 2004, I served as the personal driver of the famous NBC journalist Brian Williams. I will give you the history behind all sites, wonderful insights into the city/country and all the historical sites also showing pictures of the original monuments in antiquity and as they appear today. We will visit Athen's highlights;Acropolis Hill, Propylea, temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon and Erechtheion, Dionysus Theatre and Herodes Atticus Odeon, Areopagus (Mars Hill), the Temple of Zeus, the old Olympic Stadium, the Change of the Guards, lunch at a traditional Greek restaurant, Lycabettus Hill ancient Greek and Roman Agora and Acropolis Museum or Athens Archaeological Museum.
Chris was an excellent guide on our visit to Athens. He picked us up at our hotel with a large van with comfortable seating and AC. He drove us around the city and explained the sites and history of Greece. We visited the Acropolis, the Olympic Stadium, saw the Changing of the Guards and many other places of interest. We would highly recommend Chris as your guide.
Chris was amazing. We had a tour with our family including two teen boys. I was worried that 8 hours might be too long to keep everyone’s attention but it was the perfect mix of sights, history, good food and shopping. I feel like we really were able to see most of Athens in our one day stop on the cruise and all of Chris’s suggestions were perfect for an absolutely wonderful day. Chris was a fantastic guide for our all day tour. After a mix up that required us to stay in two different hotels, it was no problem for him. Chris has extensive knowledge of the history of Athens and knew the best places to go. Lunch at a local restaurant was a highlight. There is so much to see and only a short time to see it. All above mentioned places are visitable plus you can make stops along the way whenever you feel like it, to take a bite, restroom or take photos.
