Hello from beautiful Greece! My name is Markos! I will be more than happy to drive you through my Country's History and Civilization in my Licensed, Smoke-Free, air-conditioned, latest-model Mercedes Minivan or brand-new Mercedes Minibus! About 10 years ago, I decided to follow my passion and get involved in the tourism industry. More specifically, to share my passion and knowledge of my country, with people from all over the world. Ever since I was a child, I remember myself walking around the streets of my birthplace, Athens. While I was growing up, I started learning little by little, about my country's amazing history. It was at that time, as a child, that I realized the glory of Ancient Greek Civilization. I realized the global importance of Ancient Greek Characters, and I also realized the magnitude of the cultural and scientific wealth that Ancient Greece spread all around the world. My Studies are in the field of Healthcare and Management. I have a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare and Social Units Administration from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. I also have a Master's degree in Health Management from the University of Piraeus. Furthermore, I have a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan. My writing and speaking skills in English are excellent. Other than my professional occupation, I am a guitarist at a professional level and a Marathon runner. Being a Private Tour Driver Guide is more than a job for me. It is a great opportunity, to introduce my country's history and culture, through its sites and monuments. It's not just a job for me, it is a way to meet people from all over the world and share my passion with them. I love my country and I really love my city. I practically know Athens like the palm of my hand. I know many amazing things that a traveller would love to experience in Athens, that regular sightseeing cannot offer. There are many ways by which a city can surprise you, but it is sometimes very difficult for a traveller to find them on their own. A local person, however, like me, can provide the full experience! Ever since I started following this profession, and until this very day, I can only feel blessed by the travellers' feedback. I was so honoured that one of my recent reviews was listed in the video with the Top 12 Favorite ToursByLocals Reviews of 2019. My target is to continue, evolving, learning, and taking my tours to a higher level. Our guide did a great job of asking what our priorities were and then organizing our day to make it all work. We wanted to see the sites but also get off the beaten path and experience some local foods and family ran restaurants for lunch. It was excellent. Everything that we could have asked for.

Wonderful day in Athens with Markos! Prior to our tour, Markos reached out to help plan the tour and ensure we had tickets for the Acropolis at the most opportune time. He also confirmed with us the day prior to our tour. All communications with Markos very timely and his responses were very fast. Markos picked us up from our hotel. Extremely punctual and very polite. He is very easy to talk with. He had the agenda for the day planned but still asked our input. We never felt rushed through the day. He took us to more of a local restaurant for lunch (instead of a touristy one) which we loved because the food was amazing! We had two 13 year old kids. He tailored his discussion and the tour to keep them engaged. We would absolutely book more tours with Markos and highly recommend him!
What an exquisite tour with an exceptional tour guide! We were 4 seniors with some limited mobility, and were concerned about what an 8 hour tour would do to us by the end. Markos understood this from the beginning and never rushed or pushed us. He purposely started us at 8AM with going to the amazing Acropolis. He did this purposely to take advantage of our start-of-day energy and to avoid the crowds that would accumlate throughout the day. It's a good hike to the top so this was excellent planning. He spent considerable time in the car beforehand explaining what we would see and showing us historical pictures of it all. We were able to draw on this during our walk through the site which made it all the more insightful. From the Acropolis, we were able to stop and visit the Panathenaic Stadium, the changing of the guards at the President's Mansion (with pictures of the process), and the ancient Agora. At each stop we got a lesson in the history and archtecture of what we were about to see. As we drove through the other sites, Panos stuck to his mode of expaining it all to us. We had a terrific time! I should also mention that his tour van was immaculate.
