Highlights of Athens Shore Excursion Full Day Tour

My tour will help you meet the Greek culture, the Greek history and the the Greek mentality in a day! Starting with the Acropolis hill, you will admire the most perfect of all temples in antiquity, the outcome of democracy. Next comes a drive in the modern city to see the Temple of the king of God's, the 1896 Olympic Stadium and of course the changing of the guard and the Parliament House. After that we will walk in the old city Plaka, the neighbourhood of the Gods. The old city is full of narrow streets little cafes and restaurants among the souvenir shops and the mini boutiques. You will be hungry by then so we will have a stop to enjoy an authentic Greek lunch in one of the neighborhoods close to the city centre. Once ready our last stop will be the New Acropolis Museum, the best Museum in Greece that holds the marble statues and sculptures once standing on the Parthenon. After the Museum we will follow our way back to the port and drop you off at your cruise terminal.

This tours starts from your cruise ship terminal. Once we meet we will drive to the Acropolis hill. (30min). Passing through its monuments we will end up in front of the Parthenon and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. (2hours) Next we will drive by the temple of Zeus, the Stadium of the first modern Olympic Games and the Parliament House to see the tomb of the unknown soldier. (45min) After that we will drive to Plaka, the neighbourhood of the Gods. The old city is full of narrow streets little cafes and restaurants among the souvenir shops and the mini boutiques. You will be hungry by then so we will make a stop to enjoy some free time getting your launch or/and shopping. (1, 5 hours) Last but not least will be a visit to the famous New Acropolis Museum to see closer the masterpieces of the Golden Age once decorating the monuments on the Acropolis hill. (1, 5 hours) After that we will take you back to the port and drop you off at your cruise terminal. (30min)
