Gods and Heroes of Ancient Greece - Half Day Tour

Our visit to Athens wouldn't have been complete without Panos' knowledge and guidance through the archaeological sites and streets of Athens. Panos was the perfect guide for our family of 4, with 2 young history/mythology loving teens. Despite being midday in the heat of July, we covered a lot of ground in 4 hours in a relaxed pace, maximizing shade and rest spots. Our walking tour started thru the Hill of Pnyx discussing it's importance in democracy and also giving insights into the sites at the Acropolis we had viewed on our own that morning. We then visited the Ancient Agora and ended with an informative and engaging tour in the Acropolis Museum. While walking through the city we learned the importance of these sites and the history, the culture, social life and politics in ancient Greece. We truly enjoyed our time with him.

Our multigenerational group (spanning from 10 years old to 80!) had a great time on our tour of the Acropolis Museum and site. Panos was an engaging guide who really brought the ancient site to life for our group. He was engaging to both the youngest and oldest in our group. He also gave good advice for a local restaurant to stop at after for lunch. I highly recommend using his services during your visit to this ancient site!

The highlight of our trip! Panos was such an amazing guide and obviously very widely respected amongst his peers. He kept everyone engaged throughout, took breaks when we needed them and still got in all of the things we were looking for, which is no small feat with kids!

This was the best tour guide we have ever had! Panos was so good with our group of 12. We had four adults, six teenagers, and two little kids and he made it interesting and fun for all of us. Our kids love him and asked him so many questions. He was patient, relaxed, and kind the entire time. We also realized that without a guide we would have been lost, this particular site requires a tour. He also set us up with a spectacular lunch after it was over. I can’t recommend him more!

Panos was a pleasure to spend time with. He had his work cut out for him, as we were a group of two adults and an 8 year old, however, he managed to bring the Acropolis to life, weaving in greek myths for my son as well as giving us the highlights/history. I would highly recommend him if you have curious kiddos or are adults only, he is skilled enough to work magic with both.

This is a great tour! Panos was an amazing guide. He is very knowledgeable as was great at interacting with the children and the adults in our group. We really enjoyed ourselves and had an amazing overall experience. He even gave us great restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend this tour if you have kids and want everyone to have a good time. For reference our boys are ages 10, 11, and 11.
