Welcome! I’m a passionate explorer of Venice’s timeless beauty. After nearly 40 years as an English teacher, I’ve turned a lifelong love for this extraordinary city into a new adventure—offering authentic, personalized tours that go far beyond the usual landmarks. I’ve called Venice home since 1987, and I’m still constantly amazed by its hidden corners, untold stories, and subtle details most visitors never notice. As a volunteer with FAI (the Italian National Trust), I’m deeply connected to the city’s history, architecture, and traditions—and I love sharing that passion with curious travellers. Whether you’re intrigued by Renaissance secrets, contemporary art at the Biennale, or simply want to wander off the beaten path, I’d love to guide you through the real Venice—the one that locals cherish. With me, you’ll discover more than just sights; you’ll uncover meanings, moments, and memories. Let’s explore Venice together, one story at a time. Docent at the Olivetti Showroom since 2017. Research and management of the guided tours for the Danieli Hotel on the 200th anniversary of the house in 2022. I do not have a license to give tours of the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, the State Museums or the Civic Museums. Beginning in 2024, a new access fee will be implemented for visitors to Venice. While some visitors are exempt from this fee, others will be required to pay. Giacomo was an excellent guide! His knowledge of art history and of Peggy Guggenheim and the artists and their works in the collection was impressive My wife and I were very pleased with his narration and we both highly recommend him to anyone visiting this museum!

Thank you for such a generous review. I really enjoyed spending time with you both and exploring the collection together. It’s always rewarding to see how these works resonate with visitors. Your recommendation means a great deal to me. Thank you again, and I hope to welcome you back to Venice one day.

The museum is a small treasure with important pieces that can be seen close up in a very special space with an interesting history of the collector. Giacomo was a fantastic guide providing a great background to the collector and collection we were to see, as well as selecting the most important pieces in the collection and providing an art historian's informed...

Thank you so much for your wonderful words. I’m delighted you enjoyed both the museum and the stories behind the collection. It was a real pleasure to guide you through such a special place and to share its treasures with you.

The boat Giaccomo was using for this tour was ill suited. It had a roof which impaired the sight quite a bit. You had to bend your neck to get the view he was describing, taking pictures was difficult. There was an open area in the back of the boat, but there was only room for 3 out of our group of 6, and out there you couldn't hear his comments.

The boat used was a luxury Venetian water taxi, with a roof for comfort and shade. Complaining about this is simply unfair: in Venice, most boats do. The open-air area was available, but of course limited in size. Venice has structural constraints: if one expects the same comfort as at home while travelling, perhaps Venice is not the right destination.

Giacomo worked well with us to make this tour happen despite a slight glitch in scheduling by the website. He took us away from the crowds and it was nice to see the city without fighting the people.

Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad I guided you both through a quieter, more intimate part of the city, away from the crowds. I also appreciate your flexibility regarding the minor scheduling glitch, which, as you noted, was caused by the website rather than me. I’m sorry I didn’t quite earn that fifth star — I truly value your feedback and will keep it in mind for...
