Ciao , my name is Elisabetta ! ABOUT ME: I'm a born and bred (. . . and super proud !!!) venetian with a cosmopolitan soul and attitude . I grew up between Venice & Cortina D'Ampezzo (Dolomites), I always imagine myself with my feet in the lagoon and my head on the mountains and my heart shared between the 2 !!! Art and history nerd, basketball-addicted, nature ,humans and dogs lover and a "positivity engager". MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND : I have a bachelor's degree in translation ( English, German and French ). During my university's years, I had unforgettable experiences abroad, which opened my mind and let me discover different cultures and ways of living. Places like New York City, Mainz, Strasbourg, Innsbruck, and Greece blew my mind. A piece of my heart is still in New York where I spent a wonderful time improving my English and playing basketball in every playground in the city. After a while, though I started to feel homesick, my beautiful, unique Venice was calling me back and so I moved back home. WORKING EXPERIENCES : Too many and too various to be listed here! ;) In short when I thought it was time for me to settle down I started working as a freelance translator. I did like it but, spending most of my time facing a Pc I knew I was missing something that I deeply needed: human interaction. Therefore I decided to approach tourism ( more than 15 years ago now!) trying to turn two of my greatest passions into a job: my endless love for Venice and my need of human interaction & my love for the Dolomites! Now I'm perfectly content with what I do and who chooses me as a guide can feel it! My tours show my passion for my hometown Venice and my second home Cortina d' Ampezzo & the Dolomites. MY MISSION : My mission is to offer you unique experiences in Venice & the Dolomites (Cortina d'Ampezzo & Cadore area)not simple tours. . . hopefully memories for a lifetime! MY DOLOMITES (Cortina d' Ampezzo & Cadore) Thanks to my uncle I started hiking when I was a little girl learning how to explore and live the Dolomites in a respectful way and years later I decided to turn my passion into a profession studying to become a licensed nature & Hiking Guide and here I'm fully licensed and with a long hicking experience ! If you love to hike or simply you want to have a sightseeing tour on the Dolomites I will be happy to share my second home with you ! WHY CHOOSE ME AS YOUR GUIDE : People say I have a warm personality, witty and bubbly like a Prosecco-wine! :) You will feel at ease with me, you will have the feeling of moving around with your best ( venetian!) friend. This tour will let you discover by private boat the beauty of the Venetian lagoon and visit two of its gems: the islands of Murano and Burano . Ready to relax and be overwehlmed by the enchanting landscape of this unique lagoon ? Board our private water taxi and live this extraordinary adventure into nature, history, art and traditions ! I will pick you up at your accomodation by private motorboat. After a nice cruise we will reach Murano island where we will take a stroll to discover its peculiarities and have an exclusive visit to an historical glass factory. We will then board our motorboat again to reach the northren part of the lagoon to visit the colourful Burano island. This fairy-tale island full of traditions will enchant you with its bright colours, artistic laces and traditional cookies and not only. An island of fishermen full of history and traditions. Strolling around we will discover unique sposts where to take wonderful pictures and we will have time for lunch before moving back to Venice.
Today we toured Murano and Burano with Elisabeth. Very beautiful experience. We went with 3 kids and Elisabeth was super patient. Being born and raised in Venice, makes her very resourceful. It is evident that she loves what she does. I would highly recommend her as your guide.

Elisabetta created a magical day on the Venetian lagoon! Imagine being picked up by Elisabetta and a first class water taxi like meeting a dear Venetian friend to enjoy a magical day touring the lagoon. That was our tour, a totally amazing day to complement our prior day seeing Venice proper. As we motored toward our first stop, Murano, Elisabetta shared facts, history and magical stories about the many lagoon islands its people and lore. Murano was spectacular, first class glass experience directly with artisans and owners! Then whisked off from the dock across the lagoon picking up the hidden places we missed and stopping at Burano where we enjoyed the afternoon again meeting locals and shop owners and dining at the most amazing family run restaurant where we ate amazing local food! Elisabetta is truly the Venetian guide that has mastered her craft, 100 our of 10!
Elisabetta was a wonderful guide for our first full day in Venice. We chose to go to Murano and Burano and having our own water taxi transportation gave us lots of time to explore these islands with Elisabetta. She had a wealth of of great information to share and is more than willing to adapt the tour experience to her customers’ wishes and interests. We had time to have a great lunch at a lovely restaurant on Burano and we loved that Elisabetta enjoyed sharing it with us. Conversations were great as Elisabetta is a fluent English speaker. We will most certainly request her as a guide for more adventures when we return to this wonderful city on the water. -I will come to pick you up at your accomodation ( hotel or port ) by private motorboat . -We will head first to Murano, the island of glass . -Here we will first explore the island and then visit an historical glass-factory to admire a glass-master at work and visit the glass-collection. -We will then get on board again to move into the northren part of the venetian lagoon to visit Burano island. -You will love strolling along quite canals admiring the rainbow made by the coloured houses of the fishermen . -In one of the most important atelier of this colourful island we will meet a lace-makerin which will introduce you to this ancient craft showing you how Burano's laces are created. -After lunch in a traditional restaurant it will be time to go back to your accomodation in Venice. -On the way back we will take a different route in order to discover a different area of this unique lagoon. -The itinerary may change depending on the departing time : the order of the islands might be inverted
