Welcome! I’m a passionate explorer of Venice’s timeless beauty. After nearly 40 years as an English teacher, I’ve turned a lifelong love for this extraordinary city into a new adventure—offering authentic, personalized tours that go far beyond the usual landmarks. I’ve called Venice home since 1987, and I’m still constantly amazed by its hidden corners, untold stories, and subtle details most visitors never notice. As a volunteer with FAI (the Italian National Trust), I’m deeply connected to the city’s history, architecture, and traditions—and I love sharing that passion with curious travellers. Whether you’re intrigued by Renaissance secrets, contemporary art at the Biennale, or simply want to wander off the beaten path, I’d love to guide you through the real Venice—the one that locals cherish. With me, you’ll discover more than just sights; you’ll uncover meanings, moments, and memories. Let’s explore Venice together, one story at a time. Docent at the Olivetti Showroom since 2017. Research and management of the guided tours for the Danieli Hotel on the 200th anniversary of the house in 2022. I do not have a license to give tours of the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, the State Museums or the Civic Museums. Beginning in 2024, a new access fee will be implemented for visitors to Venice. While some visitors are exempt from this fee, others will be required to pay. The Cemetery of Venice, a true Island of the Dead, is a fascinating place that offers a unique perspective on the history and culture of this iconic city. You will see the ornate tombs and mausoleums of some of Venice's most prominent citizens, including famous artists, politicians, and writers. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the history of the cemetery itself, founded in the early 19th century to combat the spread of disease and provide a more dignified burial for the city's deceased. One of the highlights of the tour is a visit to the Protestant section of the cemetery, where you will find the final resting place of notable figures.
We'll take the vaporetto from the city to reach the island of San Michele. The tour begins at the cemetery entrance and then I will lead you through the winding pathways and narrow alleys of the island. The cemetery is the final resting place of many famous personalities, including the composer Igor Stravinsky, the poet Ezra Pound, and the art collector Peggy Guggenheim. We'll also enjoy the scenic views of the lagoon from the terrace of the recent addition designed by British architect David Chipperfield. If we're lucky to find it open, we may stop at the island's church dedicated to Saint Michael.
