Overview of your Venice tour
This full-day trip to Venice's outer islands takes you away from the crowds and into areas bursting with authentic local history and culture We'll travel in luxury with our own private water-taxi, heading out to Murano to visit a glass factory and see the masters at work in their furnaces. Then you'll reach the monastery on San Francesco del Deserto for a tour of the gardens led by one of the friars. Zipping over to Burano, I'll show you the island's famous, brightly-colored houses, which have been the home of Venice's legendary lace makers since the 16th century. We'll visit one of the best lace shop and see the old lady still performing this ancient art. Next, you'll pop into a secret vineyard on the tiny island of Mazzorbo to taste a wine they have been making since the 14th century. The garden around it is astonishing! Your next stop is the island of Torcello home to Venice's oldest church where you can climb to the top of the spectacular dome and from where you can see the whole Venecian lagoon

Mattia was an exceptional guide. He took us to a wonderful glass factory and showroom on Murano. He was very informative and patient. He then took us to Burano and showed us the entire island and let us shop at our pace. He recommended Osteria Da Carla for dinner and it was the best meal we had in Italy! I would highly recommend Mattia!
