Lucia was delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned much about the history of Venice, San Marco Basilica, Doge’s Palace and more. She also provided suggestions for dining and sightseeing during the rest of our stay. I highly recommend the tour. You will not be disappointed.
Lucia is a wonderful guide!!! She is a lifelong resident of Venice and it shows. We saw all of the “must see” sites but she also took us to small, out of the way spots we would have never found on our own. She explained the meaning behind the symbols we were seeing which added greatly to our understanding of local culture, past and present. She had us walking through small alleys and shortcuts all day, avoiding crowds. We felt like we were the only people in town. We opted to go to Murano and I highly recommend this! Watching the artist at work was a highlight. Our tour did not end when she left us as we were left with a list of things to see and places to eat. She even helped us bypass the long lines waiting for a gondola ride and took us to a quiet spot where we hopped right on. Grazie, Lucia!!! Tip: Show up hungry! Venetians like to eat and Lucia will introduce you to all their favorites!
We spent 3 days with Lucia. I can't imagine a better guide for Venice. She has great love for her hometown of Venice, and it shows in her tours. She showed us small spots we would have never know or found on our own and here detailed knowledge of the major attractions and history of Venice made the time very special.
We’ve had 6 tours through the company.She was the best. Focused on our questions and interests. A true Venetian. Art and architecture was immersive and well explained. The time flew by and was highly enjoyable. Also pointed out many hidden gems of Venice. Would highly recommend.
Lucia was amazing. I knew from the booking process that she would make our day in Venice wonderful. She was very quick to respond to my many questions, helped book some restaurants for dinners and made the tour fun for two teen girls who are very picky. Our girls said she was the best private guide so far. You cannot go wrong with Lucia!
We had a great city tour of Venice with Lucia. We walked through all of the neighborhoods, the Rialto market, and the Jewish ghetto area. A visit with the puppeteer was a special treat! Knowing that we had plans for seeing the Doge's palace/St Mark's and Murano/Burano on other days, it was great to customize our plan to see these other areas with her. My favorites were the small local historical tidbits as we passed by a particular building or bridge; that's the kind of knowledge that you don't get from self-guided tours . She also brought us to a fantastic out of the way pizzeria and gave us lots of local tips for other restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!
