5 Stars all the way for Jo-Ann! We've had several tours with Tours By Locals and I can honestly say that it is the tour guide's love and enthusiasm for their city makes all the difference, in fact it is contagious! We had lively and interesting discussions and had a much greater appreciation for the Venetians and their history as a result. I am amazed by this "floating city" and Jo-Ann really brought it to life for us. There is no way we could have accomplished navigating all the myriad of narrow streets and 100's of bridges without her local knowledge. A sincere thank you, Jo-Ann, for making this a memorable trip!

We had the most wonderful time with Jo-Ann. She is an outstanding guide. Very knowledgeable and informative, also very warm and friendly. My wife and I had been to Venice twice before but it was our 14 year old granddaughters first time. Jo-Ann was incredible with our granddaughter, and my wife and I learned and saw parts of Venice we had never seen. My granddaughter said she was the best tour guide we had on all of our tours and my wife and I agree. I highly recommend Jo-Ann as your guide if you want to see and learn about Venice.
Your Venice tour itinerary
This tour will take you to the most renown and visited places in Venice. We will meet at Piazzale Roma, or the train station, based on your needs and preferences. Our tour will begin with a relaxing 30 minute ride on an authentic Venetian gondola. From there we'll stop by the first European Jewish ghetto and will pass through Fondamenta degli Ormesini, well known for their cicchetti and wine. At this point we'll proceed towards Rialto, the first and oldest bridge that crosses the Grand Canal.
