We had a positively incredible two days with Nicoletta. One the first day, we toured Venice at our own pace, exploring the things that mattered most to us, with her intelligent guidance. She was able to customize our tour on the spot, making sure we had the best possible experience. She taught us so much about the history of Venice, so much about the Byzantine art. Showed us the best little shops to buy truly Venetian items. And took us to an incredible little family restaurant (where I had the best gnocchi of my life). On the second day, we went to Murano and Burano, learned about glassmaking and lace, and had another fantastic lunch. If you are looking for a tour with someone who is highly educated, patient, kind, funny, and who knows all the best spots in Venice and beyond, I strongly recommend a day (or two) with Nicoletta! We're still talking about our experience!

Overview of your Venice tour
Venice is the only city in the World built on islands: natural islands surrounded by natural canals, in the centre of a wonderful lagoon. To understand the City and the delicate equilibrium that put it in relation with the Nature of that wonderful environment, you have to explore both the centre and the outer islands. Why not with a local Art Historian, as I am? We will see the Doge's Palace and the Basilica of St Mark; we will walk to Rialto, to cross the most famous bridge in the world and to see the local open air market. In the afternoon, we will visit one of the beautiful museums in the city, or we will do a walk into some of the less beaten areas, to understand where and how the locals live. On the second day, we will go to Murano, Burano and Torcello. Please, have a look to all my tours, and tell me what you are most interested in: they can all be combined each other. Wonderful 2 day tour of Venice with Nicoletta. It was a great way to see the city through the eyes of a local tour guide. We toured Basilica San Marco, Doge Palace then crossed inside the Bridge of Tears to see the jail. We took a gondola ride then a speedboat down the Grand Canal! The next day we toured a glass making factory in Murano. Had a grand tour of Burano and topped it off with a lunch of the best Venetian seafood. Would highly recommend Nicoletta.
Our family had a spectacular time traveling throughout Venice over 2 days with Nicoletta. She made sure that our children were entertained throughout and was flexible with the itinerary to accommodate snack breaks and tired feet. Nicoletta's deep knowledge and love for modern art shone through at the Peggy Guggenheim. She she even sat with our youngest and drew pictures together at one point so the rest of us could do some more exploring. Well worth it!
5 stars, an excellent tour. My wife and children took a 2 day private tour of several islands/Venice. Typical tours make my head explode, boring and slow. The entire time was fun and entertaining. Nicoletta has a Delightful personality. Very knowledgeable and articulate. She customized the tour to our particular interests and stamina. She was completely flexible on schedule. We stopped for a delicious lunches and again for gelato at places she recommended. Would 100% recommend these tours to all
Fluent in English, with only a rare mispronunciation. Easy to understand, no heavy accent. Friendly, good with children. Accommodating. Knowledgeable about Venice; she previously worked at St. Mark's Basilica so is an expert on that. Overall, no real complaints.
The two day private tour in Venice was awesome! Nicoletta was personable and extremely knowledgeable regarding the historical sites and culture. Our time with Nicoletta was the highlight of our 3 week holiday in Europe. The private trip to Murano and Burano were so informative and delightful. We highly recommend to anyone who wants a more intimate experience in Venice.
Your Venice tour itinerary
On both the days, we will stay together about 7/8 hours, starting from your hotel, or directly from St Mark's Square. -On the first day, we will explore the city centre (have a look at my tours "The Doge's Palace and the St Mark's Basilica", "The Secrets of the Doge's Palace", "Venice Highlights Private Tour"). -Then, after a food and wine tasting, we will visit some beautiful museums, or one of the less beaten areas of the city: you can choose "Hidden Venice by boat and on foot", "The Guggenheim and Schulhof's Collection", "The Jews in Venice" or "Venice tour: Art and Life", for example.
