Hello and welcome! My name is Romy, and I am a licensed tour guide born and raised in Venice. Growing up between Piazza San Marco and Rialto — the historic, political and symbolic heart of the city — has given me a deeply rooted understanding of Venice that combines lived experience with academic expertise. I hold two degrees from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, including a Master’s Degree (summa cum laude) in Art History and Conservation of Cultural Heritage. I am currently pursuing advanced studies in Theological Hermeneutics of Christian Art in Florence, specializing in the interpretation of sacred space and its symbolic language. For many years I have guided private travelers, families, academic groups and culturally oriented visitors from around the world. I am particularly accustomed to working with discerning clients who seek depth, clarity and a thoughtful, well-structured experience rather than a superficial overview. My tours are private, flexible and fully customized to your interests, pace and schedule. Whether your focus is art, history, architecture, religion, or the broader civilization of the Venetian Republic, I aim to present Venice in a way that is both intellectually meaningful and deeply engaging. As a native Venetian, I can also introduce you to perspectives that are often missed — quieter neighborhoods, historical context, and the subtle details that reveal how the city truly functioned and still lives today. With me, Venice is not simply shown; it is interpreted and experienced. I work comfortably with first-time visitors as well as with repeat travelers who wish to go beyond the main sights and explore the city in a more reflective and authentic way. I am happy to collaborate with travel advisors, agencies and tour operators, and to design itineraries tailored to specific themes, time constraints or special requests. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, reliable and passionate guide who combines local insight with scholarly preparation and a calm, personal approach, I would be delighted to share my city with you. I look forward to welcoming you to Venice. - Summa cum Laude Master Degree in History of Arts and Conservation of Artistic Heritage, Cà Foscari University, Venice. - Summa cum Laude graduation in Anglo-American and Hispano-American Languages and Literatures, Cà Foscari University, Venice. - Currently studying Theological hermeneutics of christian art, Facoltà Teologica dell'Italia Centrale, Fi. - Accredited Tour Guide License n. 08000879 (n°184, RA.) - Tour Guide insurance: AXA 406271056. Being an accredited Tour Guide I have no restriction.

Best tour ever! Romy is amazing! She made the tour interesting for everyone in our large group from 12 to 70. She is extremely knowledgeable. She helped us to plan the rest of our trip in Venice. She was always happy to take pictures and she took amazing family pictures!
Romy was wonderful! What a wonderful way to soak in the history and charm of this city. Romy was so knowledgeable and experienced with all things Venice! Highly recommend!
Romy was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable, was flexible in our itinerary and made sure we saw all the highlights in one day. As 4 woman she was happy to help us find certain souvenirs and stop in shops as needed. She brought us to Murano glass to see the family operated factory which was high on our list. The island was beautiful. She took us past the best bakery, best gelato and actual made our reservations for a Venetian restaurant that evening. I would highly recommend her. We had a most memorable time!
Romy was fantastic. Timely, energetic, and full of knowledge. She put up with our pace and questions and absolutely made our day fantastic. If we come back to Venice, we will seek her out.
When I told my family that we wrestled going. to book a 6 hour tour of Venice they groaned! But as we only had one full day in Venice we needed to cover a lot of ground. We couldn't have picked a better and more sophisticated guide. The glamorous Romy, a bonafide and fiercely proud Venetian born and raised, took us on a journey from the origins of the city through the issues that concern modern Venetians today. Romy took us through the back lanes of the city, dipping in and out of the tourist throngs when necessary to give us the greatest overview of the city. From there we took to the water to visit the glassmaking island of Murano and a family owned factory. We also had the opportunity to explore the Doge's palace with its magnificent artworks and its dungeons which fascinated my 10 year old son. If you have the time this tour is really the best way to cover Venice in one day. Thank you Romy!
