Ciao! I’m a licensed tour leader and national guide, born and raised in Venice, with family roots in the city stretching back over 500 years. I would love to share my Venice — both the famous landmarks and the hidden treasures — with you. From the bustling Piazza San Marco to quiet hidden gardens, from boutique artisan shops to secret alleyways, I’ll guide you through the city’s beauty, history, and traditions. Along the way, you’ll hear family stories passed down through generations about the personalities, mysteries, and legends that shaped Venice. Many visitors book me for their first full day in Venice, whether arriving by cruise ship, flying in for a short stay, or passing through on a longer Italian journey. My tours are designed so you’ll leave not only having experienced the very best of the city, but also with the confidence to explore independently — armed with maps, recommendations, and insider tips from a true Venetian. But our adventures don’t stop at the city’s edge. I also offer unforgettable day trips to Padova, Verona, Treviso, the Dolomites, and even Florence. Together, we can make the most of your time in Italy — whether it’s an art-filled stroll through medieval towns or a breathtaking mountain walk. I am available daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, including weekends and public holidays, and often at short notice — even if you arrive without plans, there’s a good chance I can be ready to guide you. Why choose a private tour with me? Every itinerary is tailor-made for your interests — from grand landmarks to authentic bacari (wine bars) for a cicchetti tasting. I can help arrange experiences like gondola rides or artisan workshop visits. You’ll enjoy the flexibility, depth, and personal touch that only a private guide can offer. Qualifications & Background: Licensed Tour Leader (Veneto Region, Venice) and National Guide (exam taken in Parma) Ca’ Foscari University: Languages & English Literature. Explore different parts of Venice and experience it with your personal guide. This is a great overview of the city that combines exploring the city by foot and jumping in a vaporetto and also in a gondola - traghetto. The beauty of this tour is that you can really decide what to do following the different possibilities that I will show you at the beginning of the tour. Check out the itinerary section to get an idea of what we could do together otherwise just send me a message and we can assemble to the tour together!

Elisabetta was wonderful . Our tour involved a variety of areas showing us not only important landmarks, but also the true Venitian life.
Elisabetta was amazing. She knows the city inside and out. Our group had two families with a total of 5 boys ages 17-23 and she kept them interested. She was very flexible in here approach and adapted the tour to our interests. Starting at 7 am allowed to move around the City and see things we could not have seen as easily without the early start.
Words cannot express what an amazing day we had with Elisabetta. If you want a true tour of Venice from a resident whose family has been here for generations, then look no further. Elisabetta became a friend by the end of the day. She taught us Venice’s rich history, wove in personal stories and real life tidbits, and left us with an incredible understanding and love for this unique and magical city. We let her guide us through the “other” neighborhoods as she showed us the gems of the city away from the crowds. We ate lunch at her local neighborhood place and took us through parts of the city that most tourists will never get to and don’t even know exist. We felt her passion for her home with every step. It wasn’t a tour at all. It was a day spent with a friend who wanted to show us the city she loved. And THAT is a memory my family and I will cherish forever.
Elisabetta A. is an awesome tour guide, and I highly recommend her! She was very flexible and accommodating to our schedule since we only had a day in Venice. We have a family of six (myself, husband, our daughter and her husband, two granddaughters 17 and 11). Elisabetta shared so much very interesting information at every place we visited, along with random interesting information about Venice, living in Venice, etc. Elisabetta could sense when the 11 year old was starting to lose interest in all the facts, so Elisabetta immediately and smoothly changed the conversation to fun facts a kid would enjoy. It worked every time! My younger granddaughter lit up and would get excited. Elisabetta was quite funny and had us laughing several times. She knew all the shortcuts to get to places quicker and to avoid crowds. Overall, we had a fantastic time in Venice thanks to Elisabetta.
Thank you Elisebetta we had a great time, you went above and beyond.
We will start with exploring together the hearth of the city, Saint Mark square, the Basilica, the bell tower and the Doge's Palace ( all from the outside). Continuing to the old trading centre of Venice, Rialto and a coffee stop before wandering around the fish and vegetable market. The tour is really designed so that I can offer you a series of choices of different itineraries and we can put it together as you like. After this we can take a quick break and decide for the second part. You will have the choice of visiting: the less known areas in Castello or Dorsoduro and the Frari church, or Canareggio and the Jewish Ghetto. If you prefer we could get a ticket and go to Murano and assist to a glass blowing demo! A stop for a quick taste of a cicchetto and glass of wine, some shopping time and even the possibility to see some of the rare green areas in Venice. The all day will be a unique experience!
