Welcome! I’m a passionate explorer of Venice’s timeless beauty. After nearly 40 years as an English teacher, I’ve turned a lifelong love for this extraordinary city into a new adventure—offering authentic, personalized tours that go far beyond the usual landmarks. I’ve called Venice home since 1987, and I’m still constantly amazed by its hidden corners, untold stories, and subtle details most visitors never notice. As a volunteer with FAI (the Italian National Trust), I’m deeply connected to the city’s history, architecture, and traditions—and I love sharing that passion with curious travellers. Whether you’re intrigued by Renaissance secrets, contemporary art at the Biennale, or simply want to wander off the beaten path, I’d love to guide you through the real Venice—the one that locals cherish. With me, you’ll discover more than just sights; you’ll uncover meanings, moments, and memories. Let’s explore Venice together, one story at a time. Docent at the Olivetti Showroom since 2017. Research and management of the guided tours for the Danieli Hotel on the 200th anniversary of the house in 2022. I do not have a license to give tours of the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, the State Museums or the Civic Museums. Beginning in 2024, a new access fee will be implemented for visitors to Venice. While some visitors are exempt from this fee, others will be required to pay. Embark on a captivating journey through the vibrant artistic world of Peggy Guggenheim. Our tour begins amidst the whimsical sculptures in the verdant garden, each piece beckoning you deeper into this art haven. Step inside the historic Venetian Palazzo, Peggy's former home, and let the opulent interiors transport you back to her glamorous lifestyle. Immerse yourself in the carefully curated collection spanning modern and abstract art, marvelling at masterpieces by Picasso, Pollock, and Kandinsky. From the terrace the breathtaking panorama of the Grand Canal unfolds before you, its shimmering waters and iconic architecture mirroring the artistic treasures you've just encountered. This unique experience promises not just an art appreciation tour, but a multi-sensory exploration of Peggy Guggenheim's vision and the captivating city of Venice itself. Don't miss this chance to step into her world and be inspired!
We'll visit Ca' Venier dei Leoni, purchased in the 1940s by the art collector Peggy Guggenheim. The American heiress made a museum of her dwelling that became part of the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation at her death. The tour starts with the history of the unfinished building on the Grand Canal and the magnate's life and then focuses on some of the artworks displayed. Be aware that the set-up of the museum changes about every two months so you may not see some works you expect to see. Ask me before and I'll be glad to provide the relevant information.
