From the most well known sites, squares and islands to the little-known regional wonders, I will ensure you experience it all and gain the most from your visit. My family can trace it's history back over 500 years in Venice. Take a walk with me into the past - my past - as I tell you stories that have been handed down from generations in my family about the most famous and not-so-famous personalities of Venice.
We can enjoy leisurely walks through Venice, discover hidden gardens and alleys, boutique shops and local sites that will make your tour to this beautiful part of Italy a truly memorable one.
I am available on very short notice and may well be available even if you arrive in Venice without pre-arranged plans! So, Please check my calendar. If it says I am free than I would be delighted to take you on a tour of a lifetime. Simply send me a message for a prompt reply.
Many clients book me for their first full day in Venice, whether arriving by cruise ship, flying in for a short stay, or visiting as part of a wider tour around the country. My clients see the best that Venice has to offer and walk away with confidence on how to find their way around the city independently, so that they are ready to explore on their own steam for the rest of their stay. They do this armed with step-by-step instructions and recommendations from me, a sixth generation Venetian!
My tours are also perfect for visitors seeking an overview of the whole region. Together we can explore Padova, Verona, and Treviso, all manageable on single day trips - even Florence is not too far away! And why not take a walk on the Dolomites to make the most of your precious time here?
I have travelled to many countries around the world and have also explored Italy inside out, so I appreciate how valuable your time here is and what makes a trip truly memorable.
I am available from 7am - 10pm daily, 7 days a week including public holidays.
Please note, I am not a tour operator or a travel agent, so am not permitted to book accommodation for you. That said, I can recommend places to stay or even help you in booking your gondola ride in Venice!
To see what is possible, have a look at the selection of tours below. The advantage of having your own private guide is that you can help design your tour and only go where you want to go! Just ask and I will tailor-make a tour to your specifications. How about combining a tour of Venice that includes the Doges Palace and Basilica of Saint Mark with a Bacari tour (wine and finger food) - all in one day? Just let your imagine go - the possibilities are endless.
A Recent Review of this guide
My sister and I spent 5 wonderful hours with the native Venetian Elisabetta in her hometown. We really enjoyed walking around everywhere in Venice and seeing the sights with her all to ourselves. It was nice to get the honest scoop on what is going on currently on the islands. We fortunately did this trip in January and there were no crowds and no lines. It was amazing! I will never visit this place in the summer. We got to spend time where we wanted to and we never had to take roll call or wait for somebody.
