Secret Venice, Dorsoduro and hidden corners

Our tour with Elisabetta could not have been more wonderful. We had already seen many of the most common tourist sites in Venice. What we were now looking for was a look at the city of Venice and a better understanding of the people. That's why we were interested in the tour of Dorsoduro that Elisabetta described. From the moment we linked up with her it felt like a close friend was taking us around to show us the city she loved. It was great! We visited the markets and saw where she and many other locals did there shopping. We walked down many streets, observing nuances we would never have noticed on our own. A highlight was when we stopped at the Church of the Frari. We sat in a pew while Elisabetta gave us an amazing overview of the church, its history, and its art. Fantastic! Bottom line, you can't go wrong having Elisabetta show you around her Venice. We will certainly turn to her again if we have another opportunity to visit that wonderful city.

Elizabetta was the perfect tour guide for our group of 6. She showed us all over Venice, places to go for coffee or food, and how to navigate the crowded streets with ease. She was available for questions before and even after the tour. Places to shop to get the best deals for what’s we wanted and took into consideration if we wanted something of quality or just a trinket to take home. She NEVER pushed a vendor on us and we never felt pressured to buy or stop anywhere. Her English was perfect and she was so easy to understand and we truly felt like we made a great friend in Venice and learned so much about living life in Venice.

Wonderful tour. Elisabetta knows terrific spots to share that only her lifetime of living there can expose. Sometimes felt like we were the only ones there. Many, many fine restaurants, places to pause for refreshment. And lots of stories. Second visit, third tour with Elisabetta. She offers the best of Venice.

We took this tour with Elisabetta on our first day in Venice and it was perfect! Elisabetta met us promptly at our hotel in the Dorsudoro and spent the afternoon sharing the charm of the area, teaching us about Venice, pointing our some of her favorite restaurants and cafes, and ending with a tour of a beautiful church. Elisabetta is extremely knowledgeable and personable and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

We very much enjoyed our two half day tours with Elisabetta. Not only was she knowledgeable but she was very attuned to our pace and desires. We had a lovely time and recommend Elisabetta highly.

My husband and I were looking for a private tour with very specific requests. Elisabetta was excited about our selections. We asked to see the Scuola San Rocco, Church dei Frari, and Scuola dei Dalmati. She was extremely knowledgeable about Venice and its history. She took her time and had a lovely pace amongst the smaller crowds in late January. We highly recommend her and encourage others to select her if you want to see historic sites and learn art history a little off the beaten path.
