Ciao! I’m a licensed tour leader and national guide, born and raised in Venice, with family roots in the city stretching back over 500 years. I would love to share my Venice — both the famous landmarks and the hidden treasures — with you. From the bustling Piazza San Marco to quiet hidden gardens, from boutique artisan shops to secret alleyways, I’ll guide you through the city’s beauty, history, and traditions. Along the way, you’ll hear family stories passed down through generations about the personalities, mysteries, and legends that shaped Venice. Many visitors book me for their first full day in Venice, whether arriving by cruise ship, flying in for a short stay, or passing through on a longer Italian journey. My tours are designed so you’ll leave not only having experienced the very best of the city, but also with the confidence to explore independently — armed with maps, recommendations, and insider tips from a true Venetian. But our adventures don’t stop at the city’s edge. I also offer unforgettable day trips to Padova, Verona, Treviso, the Dolomites, and even Florence. Together, we can make the most of your time in Italy — whether it’s an art-filled stroll through medieval towns or a breathtaking mountain walk. I am available daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, including weekends and public holidays, and often at short notice — even if you arrive without plans, there’s a good chance I can be ready to guide you. Why choose a private tour with me? Every itinerary is tailor-made for your interests — from grand landmarks to authentic bacari (wine bars) for a cicchetti tasting. I can help arrange experiences like gondola rides or artisan workshop visits. You’ll enjoy the flexibility, depth, and personal touch that only a private guide can offer. Qualifications & Background: Licensed Tour Leader (Veneto Region, Venice) and National Guide (exam taken in Parma) Ca’ Foscari University: Languages & English Literature. Step inside with me in the very heart of Venice with guided visit to the Doge’s Palace and the Basilica of Saint Mark, masterpieces that embody the political power, religious devotion, and artistic brilliance of the Venetian Republic. Inside the palace, we’ll uncover how Venice was governed for centuries, while the basilica reveals the city’s deep ties to Byzantium and the East through its shimmering mosaics and sacred spaces. **Skip-the-line tickets are included**, allowing for a seamless and immersive experience. The tour continues with a walk through St. Mark’s Square, the true stage of Venetian public life. This square has always been the city’s political, religious, and social center—where ceremonies, celebrations, and everyday life unfolded beneath the gaze of the Republic’s most important buildings.
Elisabetta was very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely choose her again..
Elisabetta was a delight! She has a deep knowledge of Venice and Italian culture. She is funny, but also professional, and clearly loves her city. I was especially impressed by two things: 1) an honest opinion on things to do and things that really are not that special, and 2) her offering to show me the way (after our tour) to something unique happening in Venice this week (the temporary bridge over to the cemetery for the week of All Souls Day) that only happens every 5 years or so. How often do you get to walk across the lagoon? I would book her again anytime, and will wholeheartedly recommend her to everyone visiting Venice.
Elizabetta was great! She was very knowledgeable, energetic and flexible when it came to adapting to our schedule. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with her.
We had just one day in Venice, and Elisabetta made it unforgettable. She perfectly organized our time so we could experience everything we hoped to see—the Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s Cathedral, a walking tour through the city, and even the Jewish Quarter. Along the way, she shared fascinating insights about Venice’s history and culture that only a local could provide. Elisabetta is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind. When we came across a shop with beautiful hand-painted scenes of Venice that happened to be closed, she personally contacted the artist, and he came down to open the store for us. Thanks to her, we were able to bring home special paintings as souvenirs. It was a truly lovely and informative day, made all the more memorable because of Elisabetta’s warmth and expertise. I highly recommend her to anyone visiting Venice!
Elizabetta was such an incredible tour guide for our group of 6 to see Doge’s Palace and St. Marks. When she found out we were continuing on to Greece, then Istanbul she connected the history for us and gave us things to look for as we continued on our travels. We felt she genuinely cared about our experience and made sure we knew where we wanted to go and what to do when we left the tour, including helping with dinner reservations that evening. We would definitely book her again! And recommend her to anyone we know headed to Venice.
Elisabetta was the best tour guide ever. She provided lots of history on the sites and was very pleasant to be with. She personalize our tour to the areas we wanted to see. I would recommend her for any tour she offers for Venice. We all enjoyed her, the tour, the sites, her recommendations for dinner, her insight, and eagerness to show off her home city.
