I studied in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated with a BA in History and Archaeology. I left for London, UK where I lived for six years. I never stopped missing home, so I decided to return. Apart from guiding, I am a doctoral candidate in the Aristotle University in History and Moral Philosophy. I sing and have a deep connection with music and I truly love animals. I am a faithful lover of history and philosophy and thus decided to share my passion with travellers and become a tourist guide. I haven't looked back since. It is a job in which I feel I have found my true self. I am based in Thessaloniki, but I deliver tours all around Northern Greece, thematically and spatially diverse. I strongly believe that guides are cultural ambassadors of their land and as such they are tasked with providing an, above all, authentic outlook into the world they originate from. This is my main principle when providing tours. I am licensed to guide throughout Greece, but I am very much in love, for life, with Thessaloniki and the region of Macedonia. Thessaloniki and the wider geographical region of Macedonia have so much to offer to a traveller and have indeed managed to maintain much of their originality. Overview of your Thessaloniki tour

In this tour we recreate the first leg of Paul's missionary journey in Europe. This is Paul's second missionary journey overall and the first time he lands in Europe. We will visit three extremely important locations. The ancient city of Philippi where Paul establishes the first Christian congregation in Europe, the city of Neapolis (modern day Kavala), where he first sets foot in Europe and the site of the first Christian baptism in Europe. As an added bonus we will set foot on a section of the ancient highway Via Egnatia, which Paul used to travel from city to city. Not enough can be said about the significance of this missionary journey. We will recreate it in the most authentic way possible making this a highly memorable experience. This tour can be easily amended to accommodate a larger group.

This was our FAVORITE historical tour following the footsteps of Paul and Dimitrios was our favorite guide. You can tell how passionate Dimitrios is about history by his excitement and how he effortlessly walks you through the content of the time. Visiting the town of Philippi was the most impactful part of our entire trip. Dimitrios walked us thought the town pointing out where Paul taught, where Paul and Silas were charged & beaten, and imprisoned. As we walked through the town, Dimitrios would read from Book of Acts. Then he would break down every verse and give meaning to important words, so we didn't miss a single detail. He brought the scripture to life! You could literally close your eyes and envision it all. He also gave the historical context of the time, which helped connect everything as one fluid narrative. Book this tour. You won’t regret it! We love you Dimitrios!
