Let's start a fantastic day trip from Thessaloniki! Our first stop is the brilliant Dion Archaeological Park. Wander through the remnants of the sacred city of the Macedonians, where tales from ancient times come alive amidst the ancient ruins. Just a quick 5-minute drive takes us to the Dion Museum. Here, get ready to be wowed by the stunning mosaic of Dionysus, a masterpiece that brings the artistry of Macedonia to vibrant life. Now, we are off to Litochoro, a charming town nestled at the base of Mount Olympus. Lace up your walking shoes for a 45-minute stroll along the Gorge of River Enipeas. Nature lovers, get ready to soak in the beauty of the outdoors - the gentle sounds of the river and the scenic views will be your companions. Our adventure wraps up with a delicious stop at a local restaurant in Litochoro. Enjoy tasty dishes that capture the essence of local flavors - a perfect end to our day. We had two days with Panagiotis (and driver Periklis), and thoroughly enjoyed the company of them both. Panagiotis was very informative and entertaining, and adapted this tour to suit our interests.
