"As long as Thessaloniki exists, no one can ever feel like an outcast" (N. Choumnos, 14th-c) Hello, and welcome! My name is Panagiotis. I feel content that Thessaloniki—the most charming and hospitable city in Greece—has always been my home. After finishing high school, I decided to channel my passion for the past into studying History and Archaeology at Aristotle University, where I earned my BA. Today, as a fully licensed tour guide throughout Greece, I share the endless stories of my city with travelers who are fascinated by history, art, theology, architecture, and archaeology—or who are simply interested in exploring Thessaloniki through the eyes of a local. I offer a wide variety of tours—some of which you won’t find listed here on Tours by Locals. Whether you’re looking to explore the past, take an interesting walk through our vibrant neighborhoods, or follow culinary trails through Thessaloniki’s famous flavors, I would be more than happy to assist you. In just a few minutes or hours from Thessaloniki—Philippi, Beroea (Veria), Xanthi, Kastoria, Florina, Lake Kerkini, Meteora, Pella, Vergina, and many more—Northern Greece always offers pleasant surprises that meet all kinds of travelers' expectations. Feel free to get in touch with me and plan the perfect itinerary. Enjoy your stay in Greece! Credentials: • BA in History & Archaeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki • Licensed & Qualified Tourist Guide, University of the Aegean (Rhodes) • Certificate of Proficiency in English, University of Michigan • HeriQ Certificate in Heritage Storytelling, Quality Interpretation No restrictions.

We start our day from Thessaloniki. Our chauffeur drives us through the beautiful plain of Thessaloniki and we reach Vergina an hour later. We explore the Museum of the Royal Tombs with its amazing showcases full of gold and ivory artefacts. Our next stop can be Veria (Beroea) for a short walk and lunch. Afterwards, we drive for about an hour to reach Pella, the birthplace of Alexander the Great. The Archaeological Site shows us the real image of the Macedonian capital, while the Museum offers a good opportunity to admire hundreds of findings, including maybe some of the world's first mosaics.
