"As long as Thessaloniki exists, no one can ever feel like an outcast" (N. Choumnos, 14th-c) Hello, and welcome! My name is Panagiotis. I feel content that Thessaloniki—the most charming and hospitable city in Greece—has always been my home. After finishing high school, I decided to channel my passion for the past into studying History and Archaeology at Aristotle University, where I earned my BA. Today, as a fully licensed tour guide throughout Greece, I share the endless stories of my city with travelers who are fascinated by history, art, theology, architecture, and archaeology—or who are simply interested in exploring Thessaloniki through the eyes of a local. I offer a wide variety of tours—some of which you won’t find listed here on Tours by Locals. Whether you’re looking to explore the past, take an interesting walk through our vibrant neighborhoods, or follow culinary trails through Thessaloniki’s famous flavors, I would be more than happy to assist you. In just a few minutes or hours from Thessaloniki—Philippi, Beroea (Veria), Xanthi, Kastoria, Florina, Lake Kerkini, Meteora, Pella, Vergina, and many more—Northern Greece always offers pleasant surprises that meet all kinds of travelers' expectations. Feel free to get in touch with me and plan the perfect itinerary. Enjoy your stay in Greece! Credentials: • BA in History & Archaeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki • Licensed & Qualified Tourist Guide, University of the Aegean (Rhodes) • Certificate of Proficiency in English, University of Michigan • HeriQ Certificate in Heritage Storytelling, Quality Interpretation No restrictions.

My Apostle Paul tours focus on the "Macedonian Call". We visit places of Biblical references related to Paul's journey through the Greek region of Macedonia: Neapolis, Philippi, Amphipolis, Apollonia, Thessaloniki and Beroea. Wherever his teachings took root and shaped the region’s spiritual history. Nearly 370 years after Alexander the Great expanded the Greek influence, Apostle Paul embarked on his missionary journeys, spreading the message of Christianity across the Eastern Mediterranean. Fluent in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin, and well-versed in Greek philosophy and theology, he traveled throughout the Roman Empire, establishing some of the earliest Christian communities in Europe. His visit to Macedonia was pivotal—here, he baptized the first European converts and laid the groundwork for Christianity’s expansion. I also offer: “Philippians” (Full Day tour from Thessaloniki to Philippi) “Thessalonians” (Half Day tour in Thessaloniki) “Come over to Macedonia” (2 day tour, starting from Thessaloniki)
-Visit to the Upper Town (Ano Poli), the Vlatades Monastery and the Spring of Paul. -Walk around (or visit) the Roman Forum of Thessaloniki where Jason had to answer before the Politarchs. -Drive to Beroea (Veria). -Visit to the Bema of Paul. -Visit to the Apostle Paul's Old Metropolis of Veria (11th-century). -Walk through the Jewish neghbourhood and stop at the Synagogue. -Drive back to Thessaloniki.
