"As long as Thessaloniki exists, no one can ever feel like an outcast" (N. Choumnos, 14th-c) Hello, and welcome! My name is Panagiotis. I feel content that Thessaloniki—the most charming and hospitable city in Greece—has always been my home. After finishing high school, I decided to channel my passion for the past into studying History and Archaeology at Aristotle University, where I earned my BA. Today, as a fully licensed tour guide throughout Greece, I share the endless stories of my city with travelers who are fascinated by history, art, theology, architecture, and archaeology—or who are simply interested in exploring Thessaloniki through the eyes of a local. I offer a wide variety of tours—some of which you won’t find listed here on Tours by Locals. Whether you’re looking to explore the past, take an interesting walk through our vibrant neighborhoods, or follow culinary trails through Thessaloniki’s famous flavors, I would be more than happy to assist you. In just a few minutes or hours from Thessaloniki—Philippi, Beroea (Veria), Xanthi, Kastoria, Florina, Lake Kerkini, Meteora, Pella, Vergina, and many more—Northern Greece always offers pleasant surprises that meet all kinds of travelers' expectations. Feel free to get in touch with me and plan the perfect itinerary. Enjoy your stay in Greece! Credentials: • BA in History & Archaeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki • Licensed & Qualified Tourist Guide, University of the Aegean (Rhodes) • Certificate of Proficiency in English, University of Michigan • HeriQ Certificate in Heritage Storytelling, Quality Interpretation No restrictions.

I had scheduled two, day, tours with Panagiotis (Vergina/Pella and Thessaloniki). I am very pleased to write this 5-star review and my comments are inclusive for both days. Both tours were very good opportunities to learn and appreciate the contributions of one of the greatest civilizations. Panagiotis does an excellent job of effortlessly communicating Greece's complex...

Panos was a scholar and a gentleman of a guide! His knowledge and expertise on the culture and history of Thessaloniki were matched only by his engaging conversation and personal touches throughout the tour. He harmonized our list of "must-sees" amidst a bustling and winding city with knowledge and skill. We had many unexpected stops where we learned and saw even more...
