Hello !! My name is Spyridoula and I am a licensed Greek Guide, based in Athens, Greece. Being a licensed guide in Greece means that you have studied for 2 years in a special Guides Academy which is under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism and have traveled all over Greece for ad hoc training. Besides being a guide, I have a solid background in the cultural field. I am a specialist in Archives and Museums Studies as I hold a PHD in the field of Digital Humanities and a Post Doc in a combination of Digital Humanities- Sociology and Economics. I have been an active researcher and university professor- not continuously- in the above fields since 2009 . But I don't give lectures during my tours!! I like having fun with people, because I love people!! I have met people from all over the world, people of various backgrounds and ethnicities and every time I realize that despite our superficial differences, we have too many things in common. So, being a guide is a gift for me!! A gift for the soul and mind! I do tours all over Greece and I am open to special inquiries from my future visitors. I am looking forward to meeting you!!!

Spyridoula provided an excellent tour of the Acropolis, its museum and the surrounding neighborhoods. She was friendly, knowledgeable and focused on topics that were of personal interest to me. She seamlessly weaved the history of what we were seeing into our natural conversation which made for a really excellent tour.

Incredible tour with an incredible guide! She was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and willing to answer any questions we had! She also helped with other site seeing tips for Athens and dinner recommendations and took some photos of us by the temples!

This was a fantastic walk through history with our guide, Spyridoula. Our kids, aged 9 & 11, really enjoyed the tie in to more modern references of the Greek gods and the adults were impressed with the depth of knowledge.
