I was born in the village of Delphi on the mountain Parnassos of Greece, but when I was 6 years old my parents moved to Athens. I grew up in Athens until the age of 18 when I started studying at the Military Academy of Greece. In the 26 years that I served the army, I was moved and served in army units all around Greece from north to south and from west to east, islands, borders, mountains and this helped me discover my passion as I was going deeper into local communities. Year by year I started becoming interested in the history of each place, the origin of the inhabitants and the connection with ancient Greece. I visited almost all the places mountains, ports, capes that are mentioned in the ancient texts and where great historical events happened, as well as the continuation of the cultural, nutritional and religious heritage from ancient times to today. The Military History Directorate helped me a lot to read original documents from the sources. I served the army like an officer for 25 years and at the age of 46 I left the army and continued studying history. My love for history and adventure made me lead tours with travelers for more than 5 years now.
