In this half day tour then let me introduce the city to you in a most complete way by both land and water. The waterborne part of this half day tour, including parts of the Grand Canal, I'll give you the opportunity to experience the daily life of the city within its particular nature. And letting you also taking the greatest pictures of the tour. The walking part will include the world famous St. Mark's square and a visit of St. Mark's church indoors. I will describe the main stories depicted on the mosaics, the tecnique of making these 'golden puzzles' and tell you why this is unique example of architecture and its historical backround. And after a walk through the main central district we'll finally get in the Rialto market area, the perfect place to conclude the tour either for lunch or a rest leisure stop.
Land part: - St. Mark's church and St. Mark's square - Rialto market area, once the main European merchant hub and now the largest vegetable and fish market. - And also an interesting part of the city in the most central area with full description of major buildings and sites. Water part: - part of the Grand Canal - inner canals - main water areas. ABOUT ST.
