Ciao! I'm Alice , from a small town close to the Dolomites, I moved to Venice 10 years ago in order to study foreign languages at Cà Foscari University. . . and I fell in love with the city! Living here for me it's like traveling back in time, you walk in the Calle, in the middle of historical buildings and you can breathe the same atmosphere that artists, politicians, merchants and artisans of the past felt! I always say that the best way to discover Venice is. . . getting lost! It's really easy here, but wandering around in the city you will discover beautiful hidden corners, places that are out of the beaten path, places that otherwise you would have missed! I am a licensed Tour Guide and Tour Leader and today this is a job that I enjoy because I would like to concretely contribute to help people understand the beautiful historical, cultural and social heritage that Venice offers, to learn how fragile this heritage can be and how each one can do something to preserve it! The purpose of my tours is to make you discover the other side of the city; of course everybody who comes to Venice should see the highlights such as Saint Mark's Square, Doge's Palace, Rialto Bridge. . . but there is more! Venice is full of secrets, unrevealed treasures, local legends that are part of the history of the city and that help its spirit to survive! A lot of the great artists of the past lived and stayed here; writers, philosopher and intellectuals used to exchange ideas and discuss theories inside the cafes. . . Venice is the artistic and historical witness of all those people; we will discover the footprints that they left! So, if you would like to experience a total immersion inside Venice, an unconventional tour experience, do not hesitate to contact me, together we can: - explore the gems of the city center, the most popular attractions of Saint Mark's Square; artistic and historical explanations will be enriched with local anecdotes and curiosities. - get fascinated by local life, see the most residential districts of the city where we will discover stunning buildings, churches, unrevealed facts, artisan shops and learn the "behind the scenes" of Venice. -take a boat excursion to the islands of the lagoon: Murano, the heart of glass production; Burano, famous for the colorful houses and lace production and Torcello, the quiet island where there is one of the oldest churches with fascinating mosaics. - taste and master the evolution of Venetian cuisine and perceive the most traditional drinks, cicchetti, and dishes that today you can still find inside the local Osterie, Trattorie and Bacari. - learn tips about how to improve your staying in Venice and make it an unforgettable visit. If you are interested in a specific aspect of the city, or have preferences about seeing a particular museum/church/ itinerary just contact me and we will customize the tour according to your preferences! I hope to see you soon in Venice! Tour Guide License #87/2017 (Bologna) Tour Leader License #181576/2017 (Firenze) None
