Overview of your Venice tour
Cannaregio is the second Largest district in Venice. The hustle around the station is a misleading introduction to Cannaregio, because in this "Sestiere" it's very easy to get well away from the tourist crowds. This Sestiere bit far from where I live. the GHETTO, the first area in the world to bear that name. There are some special, very important buildings such as Madonna dell'Orto Church (not inside) and Gesuiti ( Jesuits )church - a Baroque creation( to get inside you have to pay 1euro fee). Campo S. Giovanni e Paolo ( the venetian Pantheon ,most of the Doges are buried here )and S. Maria Formosa campo . The many shops, restaurants and cafes have preserved a genuine, old-time Venetian atmosphere. End in St. Mark's square. From Saint Mark s Sq. All itinerary reverse.

Giovanni e Paolo campo with the cathedral , Scuola G. S.
