Hello !! My name is Spyridoula and I am a licensed Greek Guide, based in Athens, Greece. Being a licensed guide in Greece means that you have studied for 2 years in a special Guides Academy which is under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism and have traveled all over Greece for ad hoc training. Besides being a guide, I have a solid background in the cultural field. I am a specialist in Archives and Museums Studies as I hold a PHD in the field of Digital Humanities and a Post Doc in a combination of Digital Humanities- Sociology and Economics. I have been an active researcher and university professor- not continuously- in the above fields since 2009 . But I don't give lectures during my tours!! I like having fun with people, because I love people!! I have met people from all over the world, people of various backgrounds and ethnicities and every time I realize that despite our superficial differences, we have too many things in common. Its exhibition grounds, dozens of halls on each floor, cover an area of 8,000 m². and houses the five major permanent collections: The Collection of Prehistoric Antiquities, The Collection of Sculpture Works, The Vase and Miniature Collection, The Collection of Metalworking Works, and finally, the unique for Greece collection of Egyptian and Eastern Antiquities. All these are there for you to explore them. This is a customized tour and it can be arranged according to your needs. Also, please take into consideration that there can be noise in the Galleries, which is due to works in progress for the renovation and the extension of the Museum.
