Devotees of military history and fans of the 300 movie won’t want to miss this Sparta tour with a twist—a visit to Thermopylae, site of the battle immortalized in the film. First we visit the city of Sparta and Mystras the last place of the Spartans before they move to Mani the fortress erected in 1249 The last Greek Spartan emperor Konstantinos was from Mistras and after 1460 then occupied by the Turks and the Venetians, the city was abandoned in 1832, leaving only the breathtaking medieval ruins, standing in a beautiful landscape. Then we have to drive 4 hours with a brake for launch in our way to thermopylae and we will see the Battlefield , the Ancient hot gates, the Leonidas and 300 Spartans' monument, and hear a full detailed description of the battle. Later we have to drive back to Athens for 2 hours.
