You simply cannot visit Athens without using Thomas!! His communication with us was incredible before we even left the US. He wanted to know about what we liked to do, what we liked to eat, and what was important to us so that he might tweak the tour to our liking. When we met him, we immediately liked him- he is warm, funny, accommodating and fully dedicated to showing you an incredible time. His English is impeccable (he spent years studying in England) and he grew up in and around Athens so his knowledge of the hidden gems are that of a local. Thomas' historical and anecdotal knowledge was of course off the charts too. My husband is very interested in philosophy and music, and Thomas was able to engage in both of those topics thoroughly as well. The conversation was never dull because Thomas is a very comfortable and easy going person. We learned a lot, saw some amazing things, ate some amazing food and made a new friend! We have happily used Tours By Locals many times, and I have to say Thomas was the best guide we've ever had. His love of his beautiful city and the surrounds is evident in the enthusiasm in which he guides you. Our amazing day in Delphi is one we'll never forget!!

The tour guide, Thomas, picked us up early in the morning. We had a very full day of travel and visits to the Delphi archeological site. Thomas, at all times, was very informative and open to the small changes we wanted to make. The Delphi tour was the highlight, but Thomas also added many small stops to break up the extensive driving needed to get there.
