The unparalleled scenery of the area first inspired Greeks to compete against each other in running, jumping, throwing and turn daily activities into sports. You will see the stadium, temples and altars dedicated to Zeus, Hera, Pelopas, the laboratory of Phidias. The museum offers some of the most astonishing artifacts from prehistory to Roman times.
