What about when you feel hungry getting ready to taste the famous Greek cuisine and have a memorable lunch? The tour will guide you to a traditional tavern at Trikala away from tourist traps. Kostas was a fantastic guide, and the trip to Meteora from Athens was a highlight of our time in Greece. We also loved that Kostas gave us tips on what to see when we got back to Athens, along with some of his favorite restaurants.
What a fantastic place!! Meteroa is worth the long drive (yes, it's a long day!). Kostas did it perfectly - he pointed out all the monasteries, described them, etc. Then he took us to the town for one of the best meals we had in Greece. If you are reading this review, it means you are considering booking it. Do it now! You won't regret it. This was our second tour with Kostas, and we will gladly hire him again when we return to Athens.
We couldn't have asked for a better guide for our day in Meteora. Kostas was knowledgable, kind, funny, and just made our day wonderful from start to finish. As a side note, he was an incredibly competent driver and we felt safe the entire time. It felt like we had a friend showing us around. What a great experience.
We came as a family of 7 adults and 1 child. Kostas accommodated us and provided a child seat in his very comfortable van. He came promptly and drove us safely through the twists and turns of the roads to Meteora while giving us highlights of the history and significance of the sites. He delivered all that was promised in the itinerary and more from the viewpoint of an Athenian. I highly recommend him and this trip.
