Hi! My name is Ioannis , native Athenian, grown up in this spectacular city. I love to travel, meet people and learn about their cultures. Furthermore, I have travelled to many places. Some of them are in North America, Europe, due to my previous job as an Export Manager. In my trips all over the world I discovered many hidden gems of the cities I have visited. That was accomplished due to locals that pointed out to me these spots. Now it is my turn to be your tour guide in Greece. With my help we will unlock the beauties of my city, day and night. I know all the "in" and quality places that Athenians love, so that you can have a unique experience. I also love the sea and I am spearfishing hunting from the age of 11. I had for many years a speed boat and I know where to have a great time swimming, tanning or snorkeling near Athens. Furthermore, I can lead you to great hidden beaches with turquoise waters where you will feel relaxed. My intention is also to share stories and tips and I am sure that you will have unforgettable moments and memories and ultimately you will feel as a local! Speed Boat Drivers Licence MBA During my studies I was working as a taxi driver so I know all the cities gems and I am very experienced in transfers. I am not a licensed guide and will not be able to guide you inside the historical monuments, but i can share all my local background and knowledge in history, culture and the way of living in Athens.

Enjoy a private trip by luxury car or minivan to Meteora, the UNESCO world heritage listed monasteries. Meteora means "middle of the sky", and with their exalted heights and almost mystical inaccessibility, the Metéora monasteries seem to soar towards heaven and reflect the human striving for holiness. After the fascinating tour of the 3 most accessible monasteries, you can enjoy a delightful lunch with Greek traditional dishes and "Mezedes" in the picturesque Kastraki village. On your way back to Athens, stop at Thermopylae, where one of most epic battles of all times took place. 300 Spartans faced the Persian army and stopped them for 2 days. See the battlefield and the statue of King Leonidas. I have been doing this trip over 3 years and each time I drive through this unique scenery is like it is my first time!

We had a lovely day at Meteora. The long drive in a comfortable vehicle with our driver/guide was enjoyable as we go through gorgeous sceneries. The private tour was great as our guide minimised the need of climbing stairs. We appreciated that. He also recommended a lunch spot with delicious food. Highly recommend this tour for a day trip to Meteora.

We traveled from Athens for an all day tour to Meteora to see and visit several of the monasteries. These are spectacular as is the scenery. Because of our interest about King Leonidas and the Spartan army, Ioannis made a special stop at Thermopylae. He has extensive knowledge about ancient Greek history including more modern historical events. And as we traveled through the Thessaly Valley, he provided some information about farming and especially about olive production.
Your Athens tour itinerary
- After the pick up we will head north to Trikala and Kalampaka. - Once reach the Meteora in Kalampaka you can visit the monasteries and take great photos of this fascinating place. - Before we head back you can have a lunch tasting some delightful traditional dishes at a nearby small stone-built village named "Kastraki". - On our way back we can have a stop at the famous Thermopyles where the epic batle of 300 took place with king Leonidas holding back the Persians for 2 days.
