Hello !! My name is Spyridoula and I am a licensed Greek Guide, based in Athens, Greece. Being a licensed guide in Greece means that you have studied for 2 years in a special Guides Academy which is under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism and have traveled all over Greece for ad hoc training. Besides being a guide, I have a solid background in the cultural field. I am a specialist in Archives and Museums Studies as I hold a PHD in the field of Digital Humanities and a Post Doc in a combination of Digital Humanities- Sociology and Economics. I have been an active researcher and university professor- not continuously- in the above fields since 2009 . But I don't give lectures during my tours!! I like having fun with people, because I love people!! I have met people from all over the world, people of various backgrounds and ethnicities and every time I realize that despite our superficial differences, we have too many things in common. The metropolitan area of Athens, the region of Attica is full of antiquities and amazing museums. It is not only Acropolis that you should visit. Our tour includes a visit to the eastern side of Attica, approximately 45 minutes from the city centre, by car or van. We are going to visit the legendary archaeological site of the Marathon battle and the local archaeological museum. It's time to get to know which historical fact inspired the establishment of the Marathon race. Then we are going to drive to Vravrona, a very special archaeological site dedicated to the cult of goddess Artemis and visit the unique museum of Vravrona .Eastern Attica is by the sea where we can have a break whenever you wish. Then we are driving you back to your hotel. This tour can be customized according to your needs.
