HALF DAY Award-Winning Gourmet Walking Food Tour in Athens

Kalimera from Athens! A few words about me: I have worked as a travel agent for 20+ years in both Greece and the United Kingdom, and in the last 5 years, I work as an Athens Walking Tour Expert! Having spent my life in an office and crafting travel itineraries for hundreds (if not thousands) of guests wishing to visit Greece, I decided to leave the office and start walking around Athens, showing my guests, the many faces of Athens as she unfolds in front of us all these years; My greatest passions are mythology, philosophy, architecture and good food and this is what we will explore together in a 3. 5-4 hours' walk around Athens. We will talk about myths and legends of Ancient Athens and understand the true meaning behind them. We will listen stories from buildings, churches and temples and see them with the eyes of our soul. We will taste delicious, real Greek food as it evolved in the last 2500 thousand years! The spinach and cheese pies as well as the skewers & gyros and the delicious cheesecake were found in Ancient Athens too! Our walk will not concentrate on the past but also on the present; A great Greek author Nikos Kazantzakis, author of the books Zorba the Greek and The Last Temptation of Christ, says: "Every perfect traveler always creates the country where he travels" and I would love to be part of this amazing creation. My greatest passions are philosophy & psychology (holder of psychology degree). I speak Ancient Greek and study all classic philosophers and their work in their language.
