"Yea sas"or if you prefer "hello everyone" in Greek! My name is Theodora and I was born and raised in Athens, so it is my hometown and I will proudly show you around! I always wanted to be a tour guide so, as they say:" If you love your job you will not work a day in your life"! I am a pro in this field collecting experience over the last 18 years. I am also a lot of fun, as I am not insisting on giving my guests only historical info, but also insight into everyday life and habits in Greece. Even a short Greek language lesson is in order! You learned your first Greek word already, just by reading my bio! Providing guiding services in and around Athens is my sole occupation and as I don't have kids of my own yet, I dedicate my free time to further enhancing my knowledge of Greek art and ancient culture. Attending exhibitions and lectures, theatrical performances as well as reading are a few of my hobbies! Did you know that for many decades now anyone can watch an ancient tragedy or comedy in an ancient theatre? Well, it's presented in modern Greek, but nonetheless, it's one of my favorite things to do in Athens! One more huge asset of the city is its riviera, one of the longest in the world! What most Athenians prefer on a summer afternoon (including me) is to find themselves next to the water and enjoy great views while drinking one of the three sorts of iced coffee. If that sounded relaxing and if meeting an insider will make your trip more interesting, then I cannot wait to meet you! You are all welcome! A degree in History from Dimokritos University of Thrace, Greece, in 2003 An official national licence as a professional tour guide acquired in 2006 I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Choosing this tour will give you an opportunity to discover a marvellous county of Greece called Argolis! After visiting the Corinth canal, you will have the chance to see both an ancient Acropolis and one of the most historical greek towns. You will feel the glory of the bronze age citadel of Mycenae, as you see the so called Lions gate, intact for you to use and enter the fortress. As soon as you set foot in the citadel you will enjoy the view of the citrus valley around Mycenae and you will stumble upon the site where the mask of Agamemnon was found. Our understanding of the Mycenaean civilization is completed with a secondary shorter visit, a fist class chance to admire the most well preserved bee-hive tomb. As for the town of Nafplion, I will gladly show you the statues of both our first King and Governor. The feeling you get today is that not much has changed since the early 1800s. The town is crowned by a medieval castle, Palamidi, of which you can take pics throughout our short stroll!
We start from Athens headed southeast, crossing over the canal of Corinth and we visit Mycenae, the bronze age citadel first. Then we continue to Nafplion, the capital of the modern state of Greece, before Athens was recognised as such. This tour takes to one of the most important archeological sites, protected by Unesco and to a picturesque town by the sea. We have three stops in total, so you do not spent too much time in the mini van, you have short 15' stop by the Canal, photo and rest stop, you spent a maximum of 60' in the site and town and the duration of the tour is 7 hours. Its a pleasant short trip that takes you to one of most well known regions a bit outside of Athens.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
