My name is Anastasia and I am an archeologist, an art historian, and a licensed tour guide since 2014. My working languages are English, Italian, and Greek. I was born and raised in Athens where I took also my first degree in Greek Archeology and History of Art at the University of Athens. Later I moved abroad for postgraduate studies in Italian Art history In Warwick-England, Glasgow-Scotland, and Fribourg- Switzerland. Therefore I lived for a prolonged time in other European cities mostly in England, Scotland, and Italy. I've also worked in different positions in the history of Art ( various museums, art galleries, and institutions like the Fondazione Cini in Venice) as an archeologist in the American School for Classical Studies in Athens and as a lecturer in different educational institutes. I consider myself a citizen of the world and I do enjoy bringing people together and immersing them in the beauty and culture of my country. Art history is my passion and I am a keen reader and traveler. Apart from art history, I love cinema, photography, fashion, and most of all wine since I am a certified expert in wine having a set 3rd level in Wine and Spirits I do believe that the world of Wine is inspirational and fascinating. Therefore the range of my tours varies. I organize and offer archeological and art-historical tours in all the big museums and archeological sites, wine tours, and wine tastings for wine lovers. National Archeological Museum- Sounion Cape
Overview of your Athens tour
The tour will start around 9 am with the visit of the National Archeological Museum which is the biggest museum of the country we will se there some of the most important artefacts, statues and pottery coming from different archeological sites of Greece. The Mask of Agamemnon, the Zeus of Artemision, the Jockey, the Diadoumenos of Polykleitos, The ephebe of Antikythira and the Meccanism of Antikythira. After time for lunch in the afternoon we will visit the Sounion cape which is about 70 km away from Athens . To arrive we will drive via the Athenian Riviera enjoying the seacoast and breathtaking views. Sounio is a very romantic destination combining the beauty of the classical temple of Poseidon with the kantian sublime nature. It is an ideal destination not just for art lovers and life lovers of all kinds. We will visit the archaeological site and we will understand why the Cape Sounion was a strategic point for classical Athens
Your Athens tour itinerary
In the morning we will do the National Archelogical Museum that normaly takes 2 to 3 hours so we will have plenty of time to show you the city after that doing a city tour and to have lunch somewhere if you prefer. After midday and we will drive to Cape Sounio . The drive is about one hour and a half . We will have a tour at the temple and you can even enjoy glass of wine at the bar of thearcheological site then we will drive back to athens 1, 30 -2 hours (70 km) to return to your hotel
