This two days tour is an amazing opportunity for travellers to observe closely the unique Delphi Oracle and, the unique miracle of nature, Meteora rock complex! Only two hours away from Athens is Delphi, the place where ancient Greeks believed was the navel of the world. We will visit the archaeological sites, the museum and have lunch enjoying the view of Amfissa and Itea. We will drive through traditional villages until we reach Kalabaka. We will visit the monasteries of Meteora which are of significant religious and historical importance, and also discover what man can create having as his only weapon his faith in God. On our way back to Athens we will stop at Thermopyles, the place where Leonidas and his 300 men had a great battle against the Persians. There's a lot to see, I know! But I will make sure also have enough time to get rest, enjoy local food and go shopping!
During the tour we will see: 1st day: - Arachova (30 minutes stop) - Archaeological site of Delphi (2 hours stop) - Delphi city (food stop) Lunch: We will enjoy lunch in a restaurant with amazing view in Delphi The end of the last day will take place in Meteora after watching the sunset there. We will have free time for shopping and dinner. the first dau it will last approximately 12 hours. 2nd day: - 3 Monasteries Meteora (3 hours stop) - Thermopyles museum (30 minutes stop) The following day start after our breakfast about 9:00am. The second day tour will end about 6:00pm at our drop off location. So will the second day will last approximately 9 hours Lunch: Before our way back we will taste local dishes in a seaside traditional restaurant with great view.
