I was born in Chios, the island where Homer - the blind poet of antiquity - lived, and wrote the poems of Iliad and Odyssey. In few hours you are going to learn with me many things about the history and Mythology of Athens and the temple of Poseidon covering the Periods from the Minoan civilization the Greek dark ages the Archaic period and the golden age of Pericles. Starting the tour from Athens with my Mercedes E class We are going to see the Amazing Athenian Riviera the lake of Vouliagmeni with the medicinal water and the temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio driving through the most beautiful and reach suburbs of Athens. Also you'll have the opportunity to enjoy your lunch at a traditional Greek restaurant. I have to mention I am not a licensed tour guide so I will not be able to guide you inside a historical monument or a museum.

I would rate this tour with Andreas higher than 5 if I could. Everything was great - communication ahead of time, arrangements for pick up, wonderful explanations of geography and history of Greece as well as current culture. Comfortable vehicle and Andreas is a skilled and safe driver. The weather was perfect for our trip (maybe that was his doing ��), and his recommendation of a restaurant for dinner on the way back was great. I would definitely book another tour with Andreas.

We enjoyed a fabulous drive along the Athenian riviera to Sunio with Andreas! He provided gifts of water, post cards and a book about Greece. He is very informative, friendly and speaks English well. We stopped for a wonderful sea side lunch along the beautiful Aegean Sea. I highly recommend Andreas for any of your travel driving tour needs.

Your Athens tour itinerary
For this tour we shall take the coastal line and pass through marvellous suburbs like Palaio Faliro, Glyfada, Voula. We'll stop for a while to visit the unique Lake of Vouliagmeni with medicinal waters . The Vouliagmeni lake has the largest tunnel in the world. It is 800 meters long and its depth reaches 80 meters. The exploration is difficult and dangerous, as has corridors forming labyrinth 4, 3 km length. In the same territory we will visit the tourist resort area very known as Kavouri (crab) that is the most luxurious place of Athenian riviera. After a really interesting coastal drive with beautiful landscapes villages and towns like Varkiza , lagonisi , Anavisos , we will reach the southern end of Attica named Cape Sounio. Once there, you will see one of the most beautiful ancient temples from the 5th century B. C, the temple of Poseidon the god of the sea. • The tour ends at Piraeus cruise terminal or in Athens center or at Athens airport.
