I am an official guide, born and raised in Athens. I grew up surrounded by the layers of history that define this city. Today, I am an officially licensed Tourist Guide certified by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism and a graduate in History. Guiding all over Greece for the past 25 years has been an unforgettable journey for me and it still is! My passion for culture, history, archaeology and religion in all its forms hailed me to travel all around the world and visit places far overseas. Join me to a scenic drive along the Southern Eastern promontory of Attica. Driving past old small fishing villages ,modern villas ,and the endless crystal blue Aegean Sea. There are dozens little ports filled with boats along our way and hidden coves along the endless coastline. And there on the tip of a hill stands the temple of Poseidon constructed in the 5th century BC with a sparkling soft white marble ,like a light house welcoming the visitors. We will pay our respects to the God of the sea, and admire the spectacular views of the archipelago. On our way back we'll be passing from the neighbouring coastal town of Lavrio, once the heart of silver mining where we can stop and visit the ancient Greek theatre of Thorikos Then the highway will take us back to Athens.
Christina is an Excellent Guide. And we used her on four different tours - from the Acropolis, to Delphi and Poseidon. She has tremendous historical knowledge and has an enthusiastic passion for Greece! She makes history come alive and her many mythological stories are captivating and entertaining. Christina was absolutley outstanding. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of Athens from the Greek ledgends to the archecture and site history. She kept our attention for the full tour and is an extreemly happy and plesant person. WE loved her and very strongly reccomend her, we took the sites and city at our pace and never seemed rushed, but saw everything we asked for and some additional things as well.
We had a wonderful time exploring Poseidon's Temple with Christina. She has a delightful personality and was very knowledgeable of the area. We highly recommend requesting her for your next tour.
Chistina took us on a wonderful half day tour of Cape Sounion, the Temple of Poseidon and the charming port/beach town of Lavrio. It gave us a great perspective on the greater Athen's area. We were all thrilled with all we saw and experienced!
