Cape Sounio Tour with Sunset from Athens

Fantastic tour w Jim, our Guide, telling us all about the history of the many sights passed along the way to Cape Sounion. Passed neighborhoods of the more affluent Atnenians w homes and summer homes - very interesting. Comfortable Mercedes Van w cold water provided (Thanks Jim !) and driven carefully and professionally at all times. Arrived at Cape Sounion in ample time before sunset to explore the ruins of the temple. Afterwards had a nice fresh seafood dinner at a local seaside restaurant with a great view & delicious food. Outstanding tour and Highly Recommended. 10+ .....

A very scenic drive along the south coast through some nice suburbs of Sthens to Cape Sounio. Our driver and guide Jim was an excellent driver and very obliging, knowledgeable and informative. The experience of the sunset and ruins of the Poseidon Temple were stunning. A must see for a full Athen’s experience if you have the time. Dinner was at a local restaurant Vasili with exceptional seafood.

Jim is the perfect host for this wonderful tour down the Athenian Riveria to Cape Sounio. Fabulous guide and the visit at sunset to the Temple of Poseidon was special in every way. On the return drive we stopped at a fabulous seaside tavern for a seafood dinner which was fabulous. Jim is the one of the best guides we've encountered anywhere, and he made the tour special.

This was a wonderful tour. The coast is beautiful. Jim took us to a great family restaurant and a beautiful veiw point in Athens. He was friendly.

It was perfect. Jim has lots of information about Greece. Got us there just before sunset. Amazing. Stopped at a terrific gyro place on the way home

This seemed like a long drive for an unspectacular site but it is a chance to see something outside of Athens. In the summer sunset is quite late. Jim was professional and friendly and chatted with us about life in Greece. He directed us to a great Greek dinner.
