Cape Sounio is a beautiful location at the southernmost tip of the coast of Attica. It is located a little over an hour away from Athens and is ideal to be visited in the afternoon or evening hours. The tour can be combined with a delicious dinner at a sea food restaurant or a swim in the Aegean sea. Cape Sounio is crowned by the ruins of the temple of Poseidon, the God of the Sea.

My husband and I had a lovely drive down the Greek coast along the Aegean Sea, where we visited the Temple of Poseidon. It was a windy and chilly day, but our guide, Maria, made it so much warmer with her endearing personality. She has an abundance of knowledge about anything and everything that we saw. We stopped for a delicious lunch at a restaurant she suggested that was right by the sea. Good food and great company made for a fantastic lunch. Highly recommend this tour and Maria (and driver, Banos)!
