Hello from Athens, Greece! My name is Andreas and I have been a professional tour driver in Athens for 22 years.
I was born in Chios, the island where Homer - the blind poet of antiquity - lived, and wrote the poems of Iliad and Odyssey. At the age of eleven my family and I moved to Athens and ever since that time I have been living here. I am married to Sophia and I have two daughters, Niki who is 24 years old and Sandy who is 17 years old.
I graduated as a Captain of the Merchant Marine Academy. I have also traveled with cargo ships to many countries all over the world, including the United States, Canada, Japan, and in almost all the regions of Latin America and Russia.
In my free time, I love watching movies, going for excursions and I'm also a big fan of scuba diving. I have been living in Athens for over 40 years and I know every corner and backstreet of this city. It is a privilege for me to have been born and grown up in a country like Greece, which is the center of the ancient world. Don't forget that Athens is the birthplace of democracy, philosophy and great personalities, such as Socrates, Platon, Aristotle, Solon, Kleisthenis, to list some.
